Valerie Tomaselli, as the president of MTM Publishing, runs the team that is responsible for a long list of acclaimed books for clients such as DK Publishing, CQ Press, Greenwood, Oxford University Press, Macmillan, Routledge, Sage Publications, and Scribners. Valerie is active in the publishing world, serving as treasurer of the American Book Producers Association, as president of the Women's National Book Association, and as a member of the advisory council of the Women's Media Center. She received her BA from Kirkland College (now a part of Hamilton College), studying theatre and English. She has lived in New York City since 1980.
Hilary Poole is Vice President of Editorial Development and Children's Publishing. She spearheads the conception and development of the children's books that MTM produces, and is responsible for creating the innovative board book series--Eye Like Nature--published original in English by Play Back. Hilary is also responsible for many of the company's critically acclaimed reference books, including the Encyclopedia of Terrorism (Sage). She is also co-author and editor of MTM's History of the Internet (ABC-CLIO), which won the 2000 American Library Association RUSA award. Hilary created and was also the original editor for the Ecosystems series for Facts On File. She is a graduate of Brown University.
